How to make Rasam (kerala traditional food)

Here is the procedure to make Rasam traditionally step by step.
Materials Required:- 

  • Lentil - 1 table spoon
  • Coriander - 2 table spoon
  • Chilly powder - 1 table spoon
  • Turmeric - 1 table spoon
  • Pepper powder - 1 table spoon
  • Asofoetida - a small piece
  • Cumic seed - 1 tea spoon
  • Garlic - 5 petal
  • Red chilly - 2
  • Tomato - 4
Procedure:-
First wash lentle and warmth it with turmeric powder in 3/4 liter water. Then filter the water from it. Heat coriander, pepper, cumin seed, asafoetida and grid it. And put it into warmth lentle water. Boil the water well after adding red chilly powder, salt, crushed Garlic, squeezed tomato. And add ripen mustard, red chilly, green leaves in hot coconut oil. Now the rasam is ready.

How to make sambar (kerala traditional food)

Here is the procedure to make sambar traditionally step by step.
Materials required:-

  • Ladies finger, drum stick, potato, tomato - 100 gm
  • Lentil (parippu) - 2 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder (malli-powder) - 1/2 tablespoon
  • Red chilly powder - 3 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Asafoetida (kaayam) - small piece
  • Red chilly - 2
  • Green chilly - 4
  • Onion - 5
  • Tamerind- small piece
  • Coconut 
Procedure:-
First wash lentil in water and warmth it by adding turmeric powder.Apart half of the half warmth lentil. Rest make it boil very well. Then warmth it after adding onion, green chilly, ladies finger, drum stick, potato, tomato. In hot coconut oil ripen coriander powder, red chilly powder, green leaves (curryveppila) and grind these with aparted lentil. Add squeeze tamarind, required salt and also grinded materials into warmed pieces and boil it well. Add asafoetida powder, green leaves in it. Ripen mustard and red chilly in hot coconut oil and pour it to curry. Now the sambar is ready.
